Peter Hingley (RIP)

The SFF regrets to announce the death of Peter Hingley, the Librarian at the Royal Astronomical Society, Burlington House, who was our host at recent AGMs.Our thoughts are with Peter's family, colleagues, and friends.

BSFA Award Nomination for The Unsilent Library

London Bid for Worldcon in 2014 confirmed

Chicon 7 has announced the start of the process to select the host site for the 72nd Worldcon. London in 2014 is the sole bidder.  The bid, jointly chaired by Steve Cooper and Mike Scott, proposes to host the Worldcon in London, England, from August 14 to August 18, 2014.

SFF Conference 2013

Although this conference has concluded, the conference organiser, Tony Keen, continues to provide updates on the subject at the Conference blog.

The SFF generally holds a conference every three years.

The Science Fiction Foundation holds its AGM each year in May or June, normally at a full-day event organised and programmed in conjunction with the British Science Fiction Association. Guests and events in recent years have included:
